Girls Skate Network

Days Like These Premiere

Whilst models strut the catwalk with decks under arm and ‘skate style’ graces the pages of fashion magazines, videographer, Jenna Selby has been out capturing what female skateboarding in the UK is really about. Since she released the first-ever female European skate film in 2009, the quality of girls skateboarding has gone up another level. With her new film, ‘Days Like These’, premiering at House of Vans on December 5th, she is ready to show what it really means to be a girl who skates.

Featuring a selection of the skate industry’s top female riders, such as Lucy Adams, Josie Millard and Dora Horvath, the film was shot all around UK and Ireland. Aside from the action, the project sets out to showcase the backgrounds of the girls in their local areas and visits some of the legendary women who have helped shape the industry into what it is today.

Join us for this exclusive evening complemented by a photo exhibition of the making of the film, a girls only skate jam, a free yoga sesh plus DJs and drinks.

Screenings will be hosted in our 100-seat Cinema space.

Show is free and no booking is required.

Limited seating available and on first come first serve basis!
