In honor of Go Skateboarding Day, TransWorld Media and MAHFIA.com hosted a Girl’s “Shreducation” Day at the TransWorld Skatepark.

Several pro skateboarders including Mimi Knoop, Leticia Bufoni, Lacey Baker, Eliana Sosco, Jessica Florencio and Cara-Beth Burnside took on the role of instructor as over 40 females of different shred levels and abilities packed the skatepark for some skill-building fun. Before the end of the day everyone was cruising effortlessly as they rocked out to the music mix by DJ Lady Sha and enjoyed watching some trick demos by the pros.

Not only did everyone learn to skate, but participants also walked away with some cool swag courtesy of the event sponsors: Hoopla Skateboards, Fydelity Stereobags, Etnies, DC, Osiris, and Volcom, and also enjoyed food and drink from sponsors Vitamin Water, Chipotle and Pop Chips.

The event was a big success and all-in-all it was a great day for female skateboarding. - TransWorld Media
