Lisa originally launched thesideproject.com in 2003 to feature her all-female skate videos. Over the years it expanded into a social network where girls from all over the world shared their pictures, footage, and opinions- hence the newly acquired name, girlsskatenetwork.com."

"Hello, Skater Girl" is a photo book that captures the spirit, determination and playfulness of girls skateboarding over a year in 2011. It mixes image, illustration and text to document the lives of several skaters doing what they love to do: skate — at competitions, alone and together at parks, backyard pools and favorite skate spots.

"Freestyle motocross and rally car racing superstar Travis Pastrana married professional skateboarder Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins in a private ceremony on Saturday. Pastrana, an X Games competitor since 1999, is one of the most decorated athletes in action sports. Hawkins competed in Women's Skateboard Vert at the X Games from 2003 to 2010, picking up three gold medals, three silver, and one bronze." - espn.go.com

Congratulations Lyn-z and Travis!
