Emma Lindgren Interview (2011)
How were you introduced to skateboarding and what got you started?
A new very big park in Malmö called Stapelbädds parken.
Do you remember what your first setup was?
I found my first board in a bush, so I don´t really know….
Were there any early influences on your skating?
I looked up to the J Mag who is a really good skateboarder and the one of the guys at Bryggeriet (Malmö skateboard association) who made Malmö a really good skateboard city.
What is the best and worst thing about your hometown?
The best is probably all the spots, the close distance to everything and the cheap food. And the worst is that the buses are expensive and bad.
Besides skateboarding, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Be with friends, watch films, read, play Xbox and bike.
What is your typical day like?
Well first a wake up and have breakfast. Then I call some skater and see if they want to meet up and skate a little bit. Then anything can happened. Maybe we will skate or just chill. Or if it´s summer go and swim.
Where do you like to skate?
TBS, Sibbarp skatepark and Hullet.
Who do you like to skate with?
Oski, Sundén, The BBB Bengt, Sarah Mö and many others
What kind of music do you listen to?
Rock, indie and hiphop.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I have two cats.
So far, what have been some of the highlights of your skateboarding?
Building the hole and landing kickflip.
What do you have planned for this year?
The Swedish Skateboard Cup, Get Set Go 2 and holiday in New York.
Shout outs and thanks?
Shout out to Chibba Chipshuve and hope that he will get well soon! And thank you to Andrea Andersson Antunes for starting up the girl skateboard scene in Malmö!
